Expression of Interest - Student Volunteers Wanted

The 12th International Life Long Learning in Pharmacy (LLLP2018) conference brings together international and national colleagues with interest and research to share in the area of pharmacy education and professional development. The conference facilitates participant access to high quality educational programs, internationally significant research and development, and world-renowned leaders in the field.

 

The 2018 program will showcase research in the education and professional development field, and offer attendees the opportunity to network with colleagues and other leading international and national researchers and practitioners at both social and program activities.

 

LLLP2018 is being held at Rydges South Bank Hotel, Brisbane from Friday 6th – Monday 9th July 2018. During the day of Friday 6th July we will hold a day pre-conference workshops at QUT University.

 

The Australian Pharmacy Council are the host organisation for LLLP2018 and we are seeking up to student volunteers to assist with the conference.

 

Pharmacy students who are interested in education and lifelong learning in pharmacy would be interested in this conference. This conference is unique in the diversity of its participants; few if any other pharmacy conferences attract such a heterogeneous group of pharmacy educators and practitioners from around the world, all with a common focus on education CE/CPD.

 

You must be enrolled in 2018 in a pharmacy course at an Australian or New Zealand university and must be an undergraduate student or a postgraduate student who has not registered as a pharmacist.

 

The roles of student volunteers will include: 

  • Registration desk duties and enquiries
  • Directional assistance – helping delegates locate session rooms
  • Question & answer sessions in plenary sessions (roving microphone runner)
  • IT and PowerPoint management for speakers
  • Session room monitoring – assisting with IT and session management with the assistance of the conference host committee and hotel staff

What we will provide:

  • Free attendance to the conference on the day/s you volunteer, and ability to attend sessions to which you are allocated
  • Free morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea on the days you volunteer

 

What you will be responsible for:

You will need to make and fund your own arrangements for travel to Brisbane and your own accommodation. We will put you in contact with other students to assist you with this.
